Tactical Squads are the mainstay of the Space Marine Legions and the force by which the Great Crusade reconquered much of the galaxy. Formed of Legionaries bearing devastating bolters, and led by experienced Tactical sergeants armed with even more impressive wargear, Legion Tactical squads were at the forefront of almost every notable battle in the Horus Heresy.

Armed with a Bolter, and clad in MKIV 'Maximus' armour, this Tactical Legionary is typical of the forces deployed by the Sons of Horus command throughout the Horus Heresy.
